USA today announced that its Q-RAY MP-400 desk lamp has achieved yet another milestone in quality and innovation of product when it earned the ENERGY STAR qualification. Q-RAY MP 400 desk lamp is the world’s first LED task lamp to be qualified by ENERGY STAR. Its innovation has also gained Q-RAY MP-400 the Honorable Mention in the Lighting for Tomorrow 2008 competition organized by Department of Energy and American Lighting Association. To meet ENERGY STAR qualifications for both residential and commercial applications, LED fixtures need to meet higher than 29 lumen/Watt and life time more than 25,000 hours.
